Philosophy Lexicon of Arguments

Empiricism: a branch within epistemology which assumes that sensory perception is fundamental for setting up claims and theories. See also logical positivism, instrumentalism, rationalism, epistemology, theories, foundation, experiments, > inferentialism, knowledge, experience, science.
