Martin Heidegger (1889-1976), German philosopher. His major works include Sein und Zeit (1927), Kant und das Problem der Metaphysik (1929), and Vom Wesen der Wahrheit (1930). His fields of specialization were metaphysics, epistemology, hermeneutics, existentialism, and philosophy of technology.
