Marquis de Sade: Donatien Alphonse François de Sade (1740 – 1814) was a French nobleman, revolutionary politician, philosopher, and writer. He is known for his erotic novels and stories, which explore themes of libertinism, violence, and sexual deviance. His major works include Justine, or the Misfortunes of Virtue (1791), Juliette, or Prosperities of Vice (1796).
