Prague Linguistic Circle: The Prague Linguistic Circle (also known as the Prague School) was a group of linguists, philologists, and literary theorists who met regularly in Prague from 1926 to the early 1950s. The circle was founded by the Czech linguist Vilém Mathesius, and its members included Roman Jakobson, Nikolai Trubetzkoy, and Jan Mukařovský. See also R.
