Kunstreligion: Kunstreligion, or "art religion", is a German term used to describe a type of art that deals with religious themes in a non-traditional or even subversive way. It is often associated with the work of Romantic and Expressionist artists, such as William Blake, Caspar David Friedrich, and Vincent van Gogh.
