Francis Fukuyama: Francis Fukuyama (1952) is an American political scientist, political economist, and author. He is best known for his 1992 book The End of History and the Last Man, in which he argued that the end of the Cold War marked the end of ideological conflict and the triumph of liberal democracy as the final form of human government.
