Barry Stroud (1935-2019), Canadian philosopher. His major works include Hume (1977), The Significance of Philosophical Scepticism (1984), and The Quest for Reality: Subjectivism and the Metaphysics of Colour (1999). His fields of specialization were epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of mind and language, and the history of modern philosophy.
