| Richard Hamann (1879–1961), German philosopher and art historian. His major works include Geschichte der deutschen Kunst (1905), Die deutsche Malerei vom ausgehenden Mittelalter bis zum Ende der Renaissance (1925), and Geschichte der Kunst von der altchristlichen Zeit bis zur Gegenwart (1933). His fields of specialization were medieval art, Renaissance art, German art, and the history of art history.
