Gorgias (c. 485-380 BCE), ancient Greek philosopher, orator, and rhetorician. His major works include Encomium of Helen (Ἑλένης Ἐγκώμιον), Defense of Palamedes (Ὑπὲρ Παλαμήδους Ἀπολογία), and On What Is Not (Περὶ τοῦ μὴ ὄντος ἢ περὶ φύσεως). He mainly worked on epistemology, metaphysics, and rhetoric.
