System Justification Theory - Psychology Dictionary of Arguments | |||
System Justification Theory: System Justification Theory in psychology proposes that people have a psychological tendency to defend, justify, and rationalize the status quo, often even at the expense of personal and group interest. This theory suggests that individuals are motivated to see existing social, economic, and political arrangements as fair and legitimate, sometimes leading to the acceptance of inequality.
