Joseph Weizenbaum (1923-2008), German-American computer scientist and professor at MIT. His major works include Computer Power and Human Reason: From Judgment To Calculation (1976), ELIZA - A Computer Program for the Study of Natural Language Communication between Man and Machine (1966), and On the Impact of the Computer Revolution (1972).
