Amos Tversky (1937-1996), Israeli cognitive psychologist and mathematical psychologist. His major works include Judgement under Uncertainty: Heuristics and Biases (1974), Prospect Theory: An Analysis of Decision under Risk (1979), and Thinking, Fast and Slow (2011, co-authored with Daniel Kahneman). His fields of specialization were cognitive psychology, mathematical psychology, decision theory, and behavioral economics.
