Moritz Schlick (1882-1936), German philosopher and the founding father of logical positivism and the Vienna Circle. His major works include Raum und Zeit in der gegenwärtigen Physik (1917), Allgemeine Erkenntnislehre (1918), and Fragen der Ethik (1930). His fields of specialization were philosophy of science, philosophy of language, epistemology, and ethics.
