His major works include Hind Swaraj or Indian Home Rule (1909), An Autobiography: The Story of My Experiments with Truth (1927-1929), and Harijan (1933-1948). His fields of specialization were philosophy of nonviolence, civil disobedience, Indian nationalism, and social justice.
