Hans-Georg Gadamer (1900-2002), German philosopher. His major works include Wahrheit und Methode (1960), Kleine Schriften I-IV (1967-1977), and Philosophische Hermeneutik (1976). His fields of specialization were hermeneutics, philosophy of language, philosophy of art, and ethics.
