 Raymond Christal - Psychology Dictionary of Arguments
 
Raymond Christal was an American psychologist who worked for the United States Air Force. In 1961, he and Ernest Tupes identified five recurrent personality factors: Surgency, Agreeableness, Dependability, Emotional Stability, and Culture. Their research provided the empirical basis for the Five-Factor Model, commonly used in personality psychology today.
