Georg Cantor - Psychology Dictionary of Arguments | |||
Georg Cantor (1845-1918), German mathematician. Founder of set theory. His major work include Über die Grundlagen einer allgemeinen Mannigfaltigkeitslehre (1872), Beiträge zur Begründung der transfiniten Mengenlehre (1895), and Neue Beiträge zur Begründung der transfiniten Mengenlehre (1903-1909). His fields of specialization were set theory, transfinite numbers, and the cardinality of infinite sets.
