Robert Stalnaker (1940), American philosopher. His major works include Inquiry (MIT Press, 1987), Context and Content: Essays on Intentionality in Speech and Thought (Oxford University Press, 1999), and Ways a World Might Be: Metaphysical and Anti-Metaphysical Essays (Oxford University Press, 2003). His fields of specialization are philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, metaphysics, and epistemology.
