Carl Shapiro: Carl Shapiro is an American economist and professor at the University of California, Berkeley, specifically at the Haas School of Business. His work focuses on industrial organization, competition policy, and the economics of innovation. He is also known for co-authoring the book Information Rules: A Strategic Guide to the Network Economy. Shapiro served as a member of the President's Council of Economic Advisers from 2011 to 2012.
