Resource-based View (RBV) - Economics Dictionary of Arguments

The Resource-Based View (RBV) is a strategic management framework that posits a firm's competitive advantage and performance are primarily determined by its unique resources and capabilities. These resources, both tangible and intangible, must be valuable, rare, inimitable, and non-substitutable (VRIN). RBV suggests that firms can achieve sustainable competitive advantage by identifying, developing, and deploying these key assets effectively.
