Karl Popper (1902-1994), Austrian-born British philosopher. His major works include The Logic of Scientific Discovery (1934), The Poverty of Historicism (1944), and The Open Society and Its Enemies (1945). His fields of specialization were philosophy of science, social philosophy, and political philosophy.
