Seymour Papert (1928-2016), South African-American mathematician, computer scientist, and educational theorist. His major works include Mindstorms: Children, Computers, and Powerful Ideas (1980), The Children's Machine: Rethinking School in the Age of the Computer (1993), The Connected Family: Bridging the Digital Generation Gap (1996), and Mindstorms II: Children, Computers, and Learning in the Digital Age (2007).
