John Kenneth Galbraith: John Kenneth Galbraith: John Kenneth Galbraith (1908–2006) was a Canadian-American economist, diplomat, and author. Known for his advocacy of Keynesian economics, he emphasized public policy, social justice, and government intervention to eliminate economic inequalities. Galbraith's influential works, including The Affluent Society (1958), criticized consumerism and pointed out the imbalance between private wealth and public needs. See also affluent society.
