Jonathan Bennett (1930-2009), British philosopher. His major works include A Different Kind of Difficulty: Essays on Wittgenstein, Philosophy of Mathematics, and the Philosophy of Mind (1995), Learning from Six Philosophers: V.O. Quine, Donald Davidson, Hilary Putnam, Richard Rorty, John McDowell, and Robert Brandom (2011), and The Dispositional Theory of Mind (1987). His fields of specialization were philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, and metaphysics.
