Adorno XIII 204
Soul/Democritus/Adorno: the soul doctrine of Democritus may be considered naive because of the relative stupidity of the formulation: the souls should be particularly fine, smooth and round atoms, similar to the fire.
Adorno: through this metaphor - it is no longer a mythology here - the soul itself is tried to be determined in that way, as far as it can be done, it is conceived in its immaterial character, but that nevertheless (...) the continuum between it and the material world is maintained.

XIII 205
Adorno: that is not so far away from the monadological conception of Leibniz, who was an arch enemy of Democritus.
