Euclid/Kant/Russell: Kant rightly remarked that the Euclidean theorems cannot be deduced from the Euclidean axioms without the aid of numerals. Kant's doctrine of the a priori intuitions, by which he explained the possibility of pure mathematics, is completely useless for mathematics.
