Nature, philosophy: nature is usually defined as the part of reality that was not made or designed by humans. No properties can be attributed to nature. E.g. since contradiction is ultimately a language problem, one can say that nature cannot be contradictory. Not all forms of necessity can be attributed to nature, e.g. non-logical necessity and unnecessary existence. See also de re, de dicto, necessity de re, existence.

Richard Dawkins on Nature - Dictionary of Arguments

I 356
Game/nature/Dawkins: Nature often has the role of "banker" in the game (the strategy game for survival). Thus, one individual can benefit from the success of another. It is not a zero-sum game.
I 364
Nature/prisoner dilemma/Dawkins: E.g. bacterial parasites and host are constantly playing >prisoner's dilemma. Without making conscious choices.
E.g. in the case of injuries harmless bacteria can become "mean". That is opportunism. The injured person has a shorter "shadow of the future".
