Sense/Cavell: "Recognition" is a category, an existential, with whose help a statement about suffering is given a sense.
The recognition of the existence of the external world does not imply a separate, detached relationship from the knowledge to the other, with which one could disprove skepticism.
The necessity to acknowledge invites rather to the possibility of denying than to repel it!
