Pain, philosophy of mind: the philosophical discussion deals with the peculiarities of the concept of pain in contrast to other concepts such as perceptions, sensations and stimuli. In particular, it is about the relationship between physical and mental realization of pain. Pain / Nozick: to have the same functional connection is not enough: e.g. a movable marble ball in the head of a martian might have the same functional connection as pain has for us, but the martian does not have to have pain. - N.B.: it is the same role for us, as with us, but not biologically for the robot.
