Mental state/Nozick: E.g. robots: other internal configuration: other mental state than ours (despite the same role) - but: nevertheless even with the same biological function it is not the same mental state in robots as in us - difference: 1st functional role - 2nd biological function - (could also apply to AI) - in relation to this: it can be the biol. funct. of a physical condition to play a funct. role - consciousness plays no role - i.e. the mind-body problem is not affected.
