Mental state/Nozick: E.g. robots: other internal configuration: different mental state than ours (despite the same role) - however: even with the same biological function yet there are not the same mental states in robots as ours - difference: 1. functional role - 2. biological function - (could also apply to KI) - connected: it can be the biol. funct. of a physical state to play a funct. role - consciousness plays no role - i.e. the mind-body problem is not affected.
