Axel Honneth on Politics - Dictionary of Arguments

Brocker I 802
Politics/Socialization/Recognition/Honneth: Political implications already result from the form of recognition of law, insofar as it generates the claim to political participation, among other things. Politics is also linked in principle to all active forms of resistance to experiences of disregard. Their chance of taking the form of active political resistance is in turn described as dependent on political and cultural conditions. (1)
SigwartVsHonneth: It remains unclear whether and to what extent their political character results again from specific political claims of recognition or from a specific political constitution of the moral horizon of values of society in which they move and orient themselves as political resistance. (See Recognition/Honneth
, Socialization/Honneth).
