Concept: term for an entity with certain properties. The properties of an object correspond to the features of the concept. These concept features are necessary in contrast to the properties of an individual object, which are always contingent.

Concepts/Science/Social/Bricmont: we criticize the use of scientific concepts by authors who have not understood the scientific meaning of these terms themselves. If, on the other hand, poets use terms such as "black hole" or "degree of freedom", we do not mind. The examples in our book, on the other hand, are only cases that have nothing to do with such poetic freedom.
