Hannah Arendt on Beginning - Dictionary of Arguments

Brocker I 367
Beginning/Politics/Society/Arendt: Arendt consistently re-examines the question of the beginning of the political: Vita Activa shows that Arendt does not idealistically demand a new beginning of the political at the expense of the social. Their starting point is precisely the insight that one space is inseparably connected to the other. Nor can it force the political beginning in an activist manner. But in their opinion, the citizens can acquire from the social world the question of the political. If they don't, they lose the experience of a common world.
