Jaakko Hintikka on Probability - Dictionary of Arguments

II 212
Probability Theory/Hacking/Hintikka: Hacking has shown a tradition within the probability theory in which possible worlds are treated as "great worlds".
"Great World"/Hintikka: great worlds are like universes, including everything.
"Small Worlds": small worlds are preferred by Savage (> Situations).
Hintikka: Hintikka is pro small worlds. No one thinks that probability theory depends on whole universes.
