David Easton on Generalization - Dictionary of Arguments

Brocker I 491
Generalization/Theory/Easton: more general theories are more coherent!(1) Ultimately, Easton's theory of the political system strives for such a degree of generality that it is applicable to all past, present and possibly even conceivable political systems. Coherence consists in the elaboration of a conceptual structure(2), i.e. a logically integrated set of concepts.
