Talcott Parsons on Kant - Dictionary of Arguments

Habermas IV 379
Kant/Parsons/Habermas: Parsons makes cursory reference to the three Kantian critiques and understands them as attempts to reconstruct the transcendental conditions for the objectivation of external nature (under cognitive-instrumental aspects), for the constitution of the contexts of action (under moral-practical aspects) and for the non-objectivating handling of one's own inner nature (under aesthetic aspects).(1)

Religion/ParsonsVsKant: Religion can also be interpreted within the limits of reason if it is the hybrid result of an objectification of transcendental performances of order. That is not enough for Parsons.(2)
