Antiquity: In the political philosophy of the Greeks the course of history plays almost no role, through Christianity, determined as progress, it becomes an integral part of political thought.
Progress/antiquity: The antiquity knows progress theories, these have a regressive, negative character, the progress as regression from an optimum, the golden age, to ever worse epochs.
Progress/Christianity: Christian progress leads to the better, but neither economically nor technically, but rather morally better.
