Organisations/Hirschman: Hirschman classifies organisations according to the degree of conflict and migration they experience, as well as the degree of their receptivity to the two modes of reaction (1). He sees a need for institutional reform on both sides of the disparity among organisations that are primarily those that generate one response, but could be driven to reform above all by the other. What is crucial, however, is that this would by no means mean that an optimal mix of

migration and cconflict would exist as correction mechanisms.
In case of a tendency to degeneration (by only one form of corrective, conflict or migration) it becomes necessary to allow a dose of the other correction mechanism.
