Violence/Fanon: It is not that Fanon argued for the armed fight against regimes that could be described as peaceful, or that it was primarily his theory of revolution based on violence. Rather, Fanon first of all describes colonialism as a relationship of violence. Against this background, he advocates the use of force in the anticolonial liberation struggle for strategic reasons.(1)
