Pacifism: Pacifism is the belief that all violence is wrong and should be avoided, even in self-defense or war. Pacifists believe that there are always nonviolent ways to resolve conflict, and that violence only leads to more violence. See also Peace, War, Violence.

Oswald Spengler on Pacifism - Dictionary of Arguments

Brocker I 118
Pacifism/Spengler: Spengler historically considers it necessary that between the "catastrophes full of blood and horror it repeatedly resounds [the] call for international reconciliation and peace on earth". (1) But in view of the given situation of the resurgence of primeval potential for violence, in the end the only choice left to the people of the West is between victory or defeat, not between war and peace.
