Politics/Policies/Regulation/Competition/Lowi: Lowi distinguishes four policy areas: a) distributive, b) redistributive, c) regulative, c) constitutive policies. (1)
Lowi's thesis: "policy determines politics".
The four types of policies differ in terms of their conflict potential.
The most conflictual is the redistributive policy, less conflictual is the distribution policy, least of all the regulatory policy.
