Reality/idealism/Kant/Adorno: in idealism, the real should be conceived as something mediated by the subjectivity, and not merely as something opposed to subjectivity.

That is, that we know of the external reality in no other way than in the form of judgments and thus mediated through thought.

But if, in the sense of this principle, Kant and the post-Kantian idealists believed that what is to be uniformly traced back to a subjective principle, then this is the principle of reason as that of thought.
