Morals/Darwin/Mayr: Darwin denied the moral claim to God-given origin. Moral feeling and conscience is the most significant difference to animals. (Darwin, 1871)(1).
Mayr: But since humans had animal ancestors, this difference had to be explained evolutionarily. (No Saltation). So morality had to have developed gradually.
