Def Disquotation principle/Rorty: that B by the utterance of S says something true, A can only say if A could also say something that has the same meaning as S.
Its applicability boils down to the question of whether all sentences are on the same level, or whether you have to say "true for phlogiston theorists, but not true for me".
Rorty: I would refuse such a formulation.
Instead: "Do not stand in line with the beliefs and desires of .. but with mine."
