Lewis: There is a good sense in which the alleged victim of the mix-up sees red when it looks at grass; it is in a state that holds the role of seeing red in humanity as a whole. >Inverted spectra.
And there is an equally good sense in which it then sees green: it is in a state that holds the role of seeing green for itself and a small sub-group to which it belongs as an ordinary member, and which has a certain right to be seen as a natural kind. You can say both, albeit not at the same time.
