Understanding/Ryle: understanding is an ability. An ability is always imperfectly possible but knowledge cannot be "half-knowledge", at most it is incomplete.
Misunderstanding: misunderstanding is only possible in the context of understanding or skill. Understanding can be perceptive, but rashly! You cannot misinterpret the whole world.
