River/ostension/movement/change/QuineVsHeraclitus: Solution: differentiation of the river stages. Water stages have 2 separate points in time: a: presents river stage, b: is the river stage at later time, c: is the water stage later river state a) - a and b: are related with the river. A and c: are related to the water. River: as an entity is introduced as an individual thing, namely as a process or a time consuming object by saying identity instead of river relationship. Identity: one cannot say, however, that a and b are identical, they are merely river-related but when we point to a and after two days to b, then we should express that we are not pointing to stages, but to the same shown river containing both - the insinuation of identity is essential - it is not the case that the stages were removed, rather the river was added - a momentary object was part of the same river, but not of the same water or vice versa.
>Identity/Quine, >Pointing/Quine.
