Coreference/Opaque Context/Propositional Attitudes/Beliefs/Brandom: E.g. Pianist Paderewski/Prime Minister Paderewski. One had musical talent, the other did not - (in reality, they are identical) - Brandom: the analogy is not that the inventor of bifocals had not invented the lightning rod, but that the inventor of the lightning rod had not invented the lightning rod! - Paderewski is co-referential both times. >Propositional attitudes, >Reference.
