Sufficient/necessary condition/Carnap: If A implies B, A is a sufficient condition for B - necessary condition: if B implies A, B is not satisfied in any case, unless A is satisfied. So is A a necessary condition for B. - ((s) Sufficient: "whenever" - necessary: "if not, then not").

Not every sufficient condition can be used as a feature - only those that are usually detected before the facts - e.g. high air pressure and high barometric pressure: only the barometric pressure is a characteristic (feature) for the high air pressure, not vice versa.
